Chatolic here and the reason I am one is because it was founded by Jesus himself but I doubt it turned out and ended up as he have intended.
It is indubitably corrupt. Especially with the pozzed pope in rome.
Why or why not is orthodox christianity better?
Also do I have to confess my sins to the priest?
It feels like a very unecessary and wierd thing to do and would think god forgives me without talking to an earthly priest about vile acts I have commited.
Here it is still decent but from what I heard they are doing to catholic religion in the west it no longer is catholic.
Was it corrupted in the past? How far is the church as jesus intended?

Religion is entry level metaphysics. If you find yourself believing religion, just end it. Take a bunch of pills or something before you hurt someone.

Confessing to a priest is an extremely beneficial exercise. What benefit is there in only confessing to God, who already watched you commit the sin. Bearing your shame in front of another person, especially one you respect, is a powerful means of cultivating holy humility. It also refocuses you to care more about the opinion of God than the opinions of men. In regards to getting Orthodox-pilled, your best bet is to simply go to an Orthodox Church and attend some services and talk to the clergy and the people. You will find much more there than on Any Forums.

Orthodox ones they did better as humans, overall, but it's not perfect either.

Come to Romania or go to Mt. Athos and seek the answers to your questions. After that you can make your own decision. If all Hungarians revert to Orthodoxy we can try to reform the First Bulgarian Empire.
