I'm a historian and this shit is not normal. We're living in probably one of the worst times I can think of. This shit is comparable to the 1930's in terms of global and national bullshit that literally every country is facing to varying degrees.
>Disease
Covid is more or less over, but the consequences of government overreach and strict policies have put most everyone in either panic or a bad move, just on a daily basis. Even the mask-Karens are just people that are so afraid that they are trying to control the behavior of others. This is a classic sign of depression when people try and control their environment.
>War
The war in Ukraine is actually just a boiling point of the NATO/Russia friction from old. What gets me is that the media and the politicians are not even talking about Russia's POV. I oppose Russia, but you can't say they have NO argument. That shit is probably going to boil over.
>Economy
I saw fuel prices at around 209. That shit is BANANAS to me. I take public transit for this very reason, but holy shit this is going to drive the average consumer CRAZIER than they already are.
>Culture
People are meaner than ever in culture. I'm seeing musicians, athletes and movie stars engaging in mean-spirited behavior that I reserve for children.
What I'm trying to say is that everyone is pissed and no one wants to back down and let the temperature cool off.
Take the mask mandates. There's no reason. But guess what? The governments don't want to let go of them because "Fuck you!" That's it. No reason given, just a "Fuck you. You best obey or we'll ruin you."
Mark my words: All this will add up to something big.
