we live in a society of flattening, we categorize and flatten everything because its how we survived in the wild. if a berry looks like a different berry thats poisonous then we wont eat it, even if that berry is perfectly edible. this is most relevant in politics where it pretty much is the sole reason that its such a fucking hellscape, we literally cannot stop roping people and ideas into boxes that we make for them.
