What's the edgiest scene you've ever seen in anime?

The whole Wild Hunt arc in the manga was quite edgy with the pedo clown, as was the bit where Tatsumi was raped in the theatre, but honestly the anime was not edgy as much as it suffered from random fucking deaths as if by clockwork in the last six episodes. Expecting charecters to die in a self-consciously 'dark' work (very much like user's Victory Gundam scene above) is no more suprising than the heroes winning through the power of love ect in generic shonen. Death becomes expected, and therefore loses all dramatic weight.

Puppy getting killed in Elfen Lied is the peak edge.

I remember the first episode had the mc meet some nice noble girl who invited him to her house to rest or something, and then it turned out she was actually a complete psycho who'd tortured his childhood friends after inviting them in the same way and was cackling about it before the other main characters burst down the door and chopped her in half.
I don't know what you consider edgy but your standard us too high
