So is Ghibli just never going to make another good movie or something?

Their only two good directors died so probably not.

Christian Bale is still alive
Also I said it last year when I accidently clicked on Any Forums and I'll say it again
When Marnie was there is better than Kiki's delivery service

Marnie is gay and boring

you're gay and boring

Miyazaki is still alive.

Yeah and that's how I know Marnie is shit

Is he really?

They closed their doors years ago except to make Miyazaki's new movie, and that dude's like 90 so who knows if he'll even finish it

yeah, so their only directors are dead

Marnie is great, one of the best
But I like Kiki a little bit more

>When Marnie was there is better than Kiki's delivery service
Completely disagree, Kiki is just too well structured as a movie for it to be dethroned imo. That said, I think When Marnie Was There is underrated and a really good movie.

When Marnie Was There is great, but Kiki had underwear in it.

i can't even remember the last time they made a decent film

howls? ponyo was pure shit and the plane guy was just boring

Wind Rises is my personal favourite Ghibli, after a lot of consideration. Kaguya is also very popular among people who haven't seen the rest of Takahata's filmography

Wind Rises is fun when it's about the planes, but then the romance bullshit happens, it stops dead and doesn't recover.

I'm not going to claim Ponyo is a masterpiece but I liked it.

>another

ah shit, i remember kaguya, that crap was somehow even more boring than plane guy

looked nice though

>among people who haven't seen the rest of Takahata's filmography
Grave of the Fireflies is the only one worth mentioning.
Only Yesterday is kinda nice, but a bit boring if you aren't the target audience.
