>character dies
>creator bends to fan pressure and brings said character back to life after 10 chapters.
Character dies
When was this?
I can thin of Abdul in jjba, who dies, randomly comes back then goes and dies in the exact same way.
I absolutely hate Creators who bend to the fans, even if their writing may not be good, you should never let the fans dictate the story.
That means no Vegeta and no Hiei
He built up a tolerance
You can't be killed a third time
Exceptions aren't the rule.
Worst part is it's usually editors twisting their hands to either pander or get axed. Fuck editors and FUCK editors.
Sherlock Holmes
That means DBZ ends with Gohan as the hero.
Sasha kinda did this, it's clear author has no idea what to do with her character after her supposed dead other than killing her again lol.
Good those are shit characters
If you mean SNK, then yeah. Sasha was almost killed like twice in RTS and then died for real in Marley. Makes you wonder.
The key is being able to see if pleasing the fans a little is going to hurt the quality of the story. Would having Hiei return and become a teammate of Urameshi hurt the planned story of YYH? No, not at all, only improved really, so Togashi was right to placate fan feedback a little then. But a case like Abdul's death(s) very obviously muddies up the story, so Araki should have stuck to his original vision there.
People felt mixed about Genkai but it was still within the realm of what was happening with Yusuke coming back at the beginning of the series
Demon Yusuke and Kite from HxH are better examples of "meh"
Nana in the Elfen Lied manga kept having constant death fakeouts that would be reversed the very next chapter because the editor wanted to kill her off for shock value, while she was the author's favorite character.
o...
my...
it means Dragon Ball ends with Goku being killed by General Tao
not like she was a character to begin with
O MY ICE CLONE (That mimics clothes, hair and steel and was never brought again)
Byakuya in Bleach
