Imagine having to wait until something is translated and having to read something translated by someone with the skills of a high school fanfic writer who will basically destroy any figure of speech or good metaphor the original writer (usually someone more skilled) actually wrote, or missing some important clue in the dialog because the translator is a hack.
Imagine having to wait until something is translated and having to read something translated by someone with the skills...

Now I understand what George Floyd felt.
The actor?
Who the fuck cares when it's just cheap entertainment you consoom to pass time when you want to unwind or have nothing better to do
It's not like we are talking about literary masterpieces
Imagine being Brazilian
I haven't see a single anime sub or dub or translation that basically doesn't destroy the original language, misses the point or is just a literal fixed google translation.
Yes, is that bad.
Sometimes the wait is worth it.
>be normalfag
>have life
>don't waste years learning nipponese just to enjoy puns in kids shows
>watch anime subbed, find it fun
>enjoy my life outside of cartoons and have fun even when I'm not in front of a computer
It's so nice to enjoy things outside of anime, hopefully OP can too one day
hyouge mono was specifically so long in translation limbo that people sadly forgot about it. great anime.
>be anglo
>can only speak a single language
>misses the infinite amount of online content in the other language
Doing things you enjoy shouldn't be considered a waste. There's a problem with your brain.
Japanese is pretty much useless unless your entire life only revolves around consuming incel fantasy coomer trash isekai harem shit. It's not even a good country to move to
good, because It's impossible to watch a ZUN livestream on youtube or any interviews of my favorite japanese musicians like uematsu without speaking japanese.
And those interviews and livestream they do on social media aren't translated.
>can read Japanese
>can't find any raws without having to pay for them
Based.
i will learn japanese so i can read my shitty light novels eventually
Learning kanji fucking sucks, though.
The only good part of the English language is not using a kanji equivalent.
>Learning kanji fucking sucks, though.
Learning kanji sucks because you're not supposed to learn kanji. Japanese people don't do it. Japanese learners don't do it if they know what they're doing. However, if you learn Japanese words, you're gonna have easy time. Just learn what each word means and how to read it.
>The only good part of the English language is not using a kanji equivalent.
The writing system of English is comparable to Chinese and Japanese in a sense that you don't know how to pronounce a word just by looking at it, you always have to check the dictionary or search "how to pronounce X" on youtube to see how people do it.
brainlet cope
>Japanese people don't do it
Well at least based on anime and manga in Japanese schools they have tests and stuff over kanji. I do think though for a non-native that learning words is better than learning individual kanji. There's a lot of people who just want to drill kanji though and think that's helpful.
>unless your entire life only revolves around consuming incel fantasy coomer trash isekai harem shit.
Well, yours certainly dos if you're here and bad light novels are the only thing you could think of to read.
>in Japanese schools they have tests and stuff over kanji.
They have tests where you have to recall how to write a japanese word in kanji when you see it in kana.

Like if you're given くそやろう and you have to write 糞野郎. So, like I said, they never learn kanji, but they learn words in school.
Who cares, manga is trash anyway
I'm not gonna waste my time learning another language to read what amounts to pulp novels
why the fuck anglos always think is useless to learn other languages?
And is hilarious when is always an anglo struggling with fucking spanish, claiming that everyone speaks english.
>"well Japanese people learn Japanese in this way..."
>how do you know?
>"well you see in anime they do this..."
Ha ha ha holy shit do JSLfags actually reason like this?
That's a joke but in real life it's done the same way.
>learning languages according to "usefulness"
absolute NPC normie soulless robot
Well, at least it's clear that English isn't your strong suit. But at least you know it a little.
>Cheap entertainment
>Kids show
>Incel fantasy coomer trash
>Shitty light novels
>Manga is trash anyways
It's sad how Any Forums now is mostly populated by people who hate the media
because anglos and americans are the only retards who think not learning another language to be something extremelly valuabe.
everyone else thinks learning a diferent language to be worth the effort.
>Too dumb to easily learn another language
>Has to cope by dismissing value entirely
You do realize you're wasting your time on a board dedicated to the "pulp novels", time you could spend actually learning the language.
They don't hate it. They just know they have bad taste and don't have any interest in learning anything new. Problem is they lump everything in with themselves.
That's because they speak useless languages and need to learn a different language (English) that has some use outside of their flyover country.
yes, and yet they are still able to speak two languages.
better than retards who struggles with learning spanish, the most braindead easy romance language.
Imagine struggling with the easiest language to learn after english.
I don't hate the media, I just enjoy it for what it is.
Are you retarded?
If you can read any seinen manga, you can petty much read any japanese book. How do you think kids learn their kanji? It's usually through reading manga alongside school.
