This is completely wrong. Eren could have gotten both Mikasa love( she was ready to betray the cringevengers for him even as late as 133) and the freedom he craved by finishing the job instead of just going 80% of the way knowing full well what the consequences were.
He didn't get what he wanted not because he was a complex character(he isn't and never was), but because it was written by hack who admitted he didn't know what he was doing in the final part of his own story
