Sad that we'll never see these in colour like they were meant to be. Tehepero! Henohe face. Original calls him Pyonkichi's hero. Also, much more horrifying handwriting.
>Sad that we'll never see these in colour like they were meant to be. The title page is in the Ranma color artbook Viz translated and printed years ago.
Pigtail >ponytail Wtf translator, be consistent! Chichi joke lost in translation. Fuck, guess it's past my bedtime. Not till this dump is all the way through.
Volume 34 of 38 done Only 2 weeks left, my friends. Next week will be the last round of short stories in the Ranma volumes. I wonder if I should do the last 2 volumes back-to-back in one day. But we have a reader in the asian timezone here, wouldn't wanna lose you buddy. So I leave it up to you guys, regular mo-fr schedule for 37 and 38, or both volumes one after the other on friday (or saturday?) in 2 weeks? You don't have to decide now, we can still talk about it next week.
Next up: One or Double chapter 5 "The Grandfather of All Baseball Games"
Is this the last story in the manga to have an anime adaptation?

Akane milk...
Dominic Lewis
I like the way it looks like Ranma's speech bubble bonked Akane's head.

Mini Milk?

There's only a few volumes left, right? I'm gonna be sad to see these storytimes end
Ian Mitchell
kid can't be older than 5 or 6 and she already has a first love
Noah Ramirez
Yeah, there's only 4 volumes left.
Maybe OP will do Inuyasha next. If you've liked later Ranma stories Inuyasha kind of carries forward some of those concepts. If you close your eyes the characters aren't even that unfamiliar. Ranma and Kikyo are almost directly a version of Ranma and Akane that didn't work out in the worst possible way.
Joshua Lewis
that seems pretty normal for girls in my experience
LOL, meant Inuyasha and Kikyo vs Ranma and Akane. Its an easy mistake to make.
Carter Wilson
i hope OP does inuyasha, i picked it up for a bit since the previous OP stopped but stopped myself because i had zero interest in it (waiting to finish UY + do MI once those volumes come out) you'll make a few krauts happy as well
Back when I read Ranma the first time, I remember not liking the later volumes quite as much. And re-reading them now I find that's still the case, though of course it's still funny and entertaining despite any possible dip
William Murphy
It's the flanderisation and how certain characters get really stale. Especially Akane STILL misunderstanding every possible awkward situation Ranma finds himself in.
There are some gems in the later manga, but it does seem like the cracks were starting to show. Ranma just has too many recurring characters who have too little to do with one another.
It seems like Takahashi was trying to address that right up to the end by tying up loose ends, finding ways for more characters to be at common locations. Makes you wonder if she planned to end at volume 38 or if that's just how it worked out. Inuyasha's whole structure feels like it was designed to fix the problem. Far fewer recurring characters, the characters who do recur have clear groups of associated characters, and there's a clear reason why the characters in the past are out adventuring, while the characters in the present day are doing slice of life stuff.
Both Kunos got flattened into paper dolls this arc.
Aiden Thompson
One new phrase I learned from this chapter was 女らし, which means feminine/womanly. Unfortunately, I will always remember it now, because it sounds similar to おもらし.
Ethan Peterson
Based Ranma.

>Ukyo was proto Kikyo all along .....

Ranma's biggest enemy is himself

/fa/ as fuck

I've seen this panel before!!!
>secret anger relief technique is a "how to be Miroku" tutorial
>That's the same face that was on Ryoga's chest. HOLY SHIT!!!! RUMIKOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I really wish this series had continued. It isn't until the last few volumes that Ranma and Akane really start feeling like a couple. You'd never see Ranma even think about grabbing Akane's ass in the first half of the series.
Lincoln Russell
I love the last part of this manga. Delinquent Hinako was a blast.
Sebastian Price
>I really wish this series had continued. You and basically every other fan of the series. Its why there's so much fan content for Ranma even to this day.
Normal schedule for sure. If you posted 2 volumes in one day, I'd end up reading it throughout the week anyway and the thread would be long archived by the time I was done.
well Akane dreams about it so it's bound to happen sooner or later
Joseph Hill
>this thread is still alive Is this a miracle fragment where storytime don't die right after OP is done with them and the thread has more than 10 posters
Jaxson Thompson
happens occasionally I don't like necrobumping my threads (too much, that is)
Lincoln Robinson
>Akane's dream involves Ranma "overpowering" her Rumiko sure knows what do women like
Dominic Perez
Friday threads usually fare better. Monday threads die because burger anons are too tired to bump.
Cameron Moore
The big problem for the story time threads seems to be the couple of hours after the content dump stops and people in the US come online.
You should have seen the threads at the beginning of the storytime. Some made bump limit and a new ranma thread would be made right after.
Cameron Martinez
That's par for the course for storytimes though, beginning and ending is when most people tune in some people drop off, forget about it, or simply don't want to follow every volume
this, if you look at the archives for the urusei yatsura storytime the first volume was by far the most bumped with 350+ posts until much later on when people started using the threads as generals
Sebastian Diaz
I kinda like that ranma hasn't become as popular here. You get occasional threads and they aren't constantly reaching bump limit, but there's usually more actual discussion and less threadschizos than in other rumiko threads.
>Hinako's stat graph looking like a weak joke character and not having a second form What?
Ideally Hinako should be weak except against ki attacks in her chibi form, and then have super powerful attacks in her adult form. She should be right up there with male Herb for most powerful ki attack.
clockwise from the top it's power, stamina, heart, not sure about the kanji, this one I'm having a hard time making out the katakana but might be something like 'acrobatic,' speed
Kanji should be 頭脳, intelligence/brains, I think. The rest you got right.
Angel Adams
I assume it means something more along the lines of 'cunning' in this context. I can't imagine Happosai having max intelligence.
Noah Rodriguez
what is this, Akane/Ranma yuri for ants?
Ethan Ward
Happosai is what we call the lethal joke character. If you're familiar with MvC2, he's basically Kobun, but with much better speed, disproportionate damage and reach, etc. Honestly, he's only as durable as the story requires. So his stats should also be taken with a grain of salt. Conversely, he has a wealth of knowledge(largely stolen), and the cunning to carry out plans(though apparently, everybody seems to just skip reading the rest of the special manuals when they're in Chinese). Genma and Soun should definitely be separated, especially since Genma has developed multiple special techniques, while Soun hasn't(that we have seen, at least). Cologne would probably outclass Happosai on the bottom stat(brains), but otherwise they're probably equal. Hinako, as stated, should have off-the-charts ki manipulation rating regardless of form, with low stamina. Slightly above average strength for females(carried about 120kg of unconscious Shampoo+Kodachi+Ukyo all the way to the Tendo dojo). In terms of ki strength, Saffron, Herb/Asura, Hinako, the centenarians, then the rest. Physical strength-wise, probably transformed panty boy, Lime(tiger boy), Asura, Ryoga, Genma/Ryu Kumon, Ranma, the rest. Speed would have Mint(wolf boy) up in the top 3. Kiima isn't on the chart either.
Zachary Edwards
Sorry, I couldn't find a better version of the that image.
I think their marriage would be just the push they need to start doing that weird wrestling dance I saw my mom and dad doing in their room once when I was a kid. After that they'll probably be fucking like rabbits and'll have have like 5 kids in their first three years as husband and wife.
