comics is mostly for retards and children. Frogbros have couple of good ones (asterixchads where you at) with their scifi/fantasy ones, but superhero comics is nothing but shit

The problem is that Neil is not a particularly good author nor a good graphic novel creator.
Sandman is mostly TL;DR in comic form, which just shows he doesn't understand how to properly use the medium. His novels tend to focus more on the summary designed to sell the book than on the story itself, so once you get past the plot outline, they tend to drag on in an uninspired fashion. He's a hack.

This but they'll never adapt it properly and that's fine. Lucifer literally freed himself from all this shit at the end anyway.

This, so much this. I forgot back in the day that I gave up reading Sandman midway through and tried Lucifer and loved it. It wasn't till I went back and reread Sandman when the show was premiering that I remembered I couldn't stand the comic and was putting the good will from Lucifer on it.

It's a strange thing that if a bunch of reviewers say its the greatest thing ever and it wins some awards that it will be considered an all time great and a must read; even if it's shit. Make no mistake it is shit, but it's shit that fit a certain agenda so it's praised and if you say it's shit then you're thought of as wrong. Most people won't even admit they don't like it because of group pressures.
