Fantastic show. It's an achievement that Americans know the monarch song. History is kind of an easy subject to sell because it's storytelling... but there's still way more bad attempts than good ones. This show cracked the code by making it look a bit naughty and transgressive. That fascinates kids because it doesn't feel like learning. Or rather, conventional learning doesn't concern itself with piquing interest.

I don't know if that's really true though desu. We know a lot more about ancient genetics now than 20 years ago and the claim that that guy was a descendant of Cheddar Man was based on a dna test done over 2 decades ago, so the results might not really show what they thought did back then.
Seems kind of unlikely that he would be a descendant of Cheddar Man, especially when we know about large-scale population change in the Neolithic and Bronze Ages that occurred in Britain. Could still be possible though. Maybe what the results actually showed was simply descent from West hunter Gatherers? Almost every European ethnic group is descended from them. Baltic people are apparently the most like them.
