Hyundai got really sick of dealing with its labour union, so they started spamming manufacturing robots to not have to hire any more workers (who they can't legally prevent from joining the union). Hyundai even bought Boston Dynamics to speed up their robotics effort (and also to produce military robots that can walk on mountainous terrains (Hyundai is a huge defense contractor, and the eastern side of SK-NK border is full of mountains)).
2. S. Korea is home to Samsung and SK Hynix, two of the largest semiconductor companies in the world. Everything semiconductor related has to be done by robots because the human hand is not precise enough.

Thats a very broad term. Depending on what you manufacture, some things are more easily automatable than others. For example, automating a cardboard box production line is much easier than automating an aircraft production line. Countries also tend to specialize in certain areas, like automobiles, computer chips, furniture, etc. So depending on what countries tend to manufacture that could significantly affect the level of automatization.
