No, I'm just a weirdo. I grew up with a lot of american tv-shows and movies as a kid.

There's actually a frenchman on my team. He came here for some study abroad scheme and used student loans to pay for college here, then got a work visa after graduating. After five years he's finally just finished paying off his student loans, but he's making over $100k. And the school he chose was kind of expensive, he could have gone to one that cost less and still gotten the job, I think.

Also, the first thing he did when he got the job was buy an audi. Could have probably paid off the loans faster if he didn't do that.

Because last time I checked only citizens and permanent residents can take out student loans in the States. Maybe there’s such kind of commercial loan like that for foreign students (probably would have way higher APR than those Sallie Mae loans for Americans).
But if I can make six figures, I think even 10% something APR is acceptable. I’ll dig deeper into this. Thank bro
