Sad LARP, imagine ruining europe by larping as a dead caliphate.

Isn't Elden Ring filled with Gothic-like buildings, an architectural style born in France? I don't think Germania would look like that without Charles the Great.

No, make a zoom in in most reliefs, it has a massive influence by migration period, early anglo-saxon and early germanic material culture

True, those aren't Christian patterns. Fair enough.

The more you zoom the more you notice, look at the animal drawings, its almost entirely based on gothic (as in the gothic people) material culture, you can find similar patterns on the few churches left on spain and the anglo ones.

Very curious how much they invested into taking germanic culture as reference, armors are more than evident

>Christian patterns
?, germanics adopted christianity by themselves, it didn't necessarily implied a heavy romanization

>Very curious how much they invested into taking germanic culture as reference, armors are more than evident

How many German references are in the game?

German as in the country of germany? None because the game doesn't name irl country

Germanic? A lot, from the lore, to the names, armors and material culture of the game are heavily influenced by germanic stuff sometimes mixed to lesser extent with other things like gothic or classic in a bunch of places

>when you come out of Stormveil and get a view of Liurnia of the Lakes

Pretty much, but you'll need to see some germanic pre-carolignian and pre-romanesque art to see the references, i'll post some visigothic reliefs

true it would be tasteful at least

Lordran based on Mont Saint Michel in France

The clerics of the Way of White often have Greek names (Petrus, Irina, Anastacia, Rhea) which are sometimes related to Orthodox Christian saints (such as Irina and Anastacia, for example)

Anor Londo based on Il Duomo in Milan, Italy

Lothric Castle and the Grand Archives are straight out of Lincoln Cathedral

Irithyll of the Boreal Valley based on St Charles Bridge in Prague

Dragon-Kin Mausoleum building is obviously inspired by the Hagia Sophia basilica (and subsequently a mosque) of Constantinople (modern day Istanbul)

Bloodbornes architecture is inspired by Romania and the Czech republic
