Can't speak for the likes of France, Germany, Netherlands, but here, it is national tradition to drink yourself to near fatal levels every weekend.

Seriously, I am quite the avid drinker, and the more I drink, the more people I meet, the more places I go, the more girls I flirt with, the more doors are open to me on the weekend. The more you drink, the bigger the legend you are.

Everyone in Britain is obsessed with the "sesh", toiling away 5 days a week trying to think happy thoughts to distract yourself from living on Airstrip One, then go out at the weekend, get absolutely legless on alcohol and drugs. Then do it the next one. Sure Ireland is much the same.

God that's so fucking based. It used to be more like that here than it is now, and I know this because I'm old, I'm not making it up. I miss it so much.

It's all fun and games being young and doing it. I mean I'm only 18 and practically drunk every single weekend, the odd cocaine or pill, as is everyone else I know.

If you can't control it, it's a problem. I think when I'm older, proper job, wife, kids, I'll give up the alcohol. But for now, it's a good laugh every weekend. God forgive us.

It’s pretty acceptable in parts of America, particularly the south. Where I’m from (Louisiana) you’re seen as weird if you don’t drink, plus we can get strong ass daiquiris daiquiris in drive thrus. It’s still weird to me that there are states that don’t sell hard liquor in grocery stores or gas station.
