Why do French people look so swarthy compared to other Europeans? When I visited it, the natives were less white than when I visited Turkey (Izmir).
And no, I'm not talking about the North Africans immigrants or whatever. Actual French people. Unless North African immigrants are like 75% of the French population.

French tend to tan alot, plus they tend to be hairy and have curly hair, they dont look that swarthy compared to Italians and Spanish I have seen.

guess i also meant wavy but yeah, plus its hard to tell as sometimes a person isn't fully french but half some other southern european country in some cases

That's not french native , we had lote of mix with brown spanish immigration and italians , if you go rural city you will find lot of blond and white people
