I find it hard to believe that someone who rose out of poverty and strife, went to University, got her PHD and was a respected Psychiatrist (with the salary and lifestyle that could afford) could fall in love with her patient to the point of throwing away her entire life and career and becoming his subordinate girlfriend/minion.

She canonically fucked her way through PHD

Intelligent and accomplished people can be just as strange and reckless as anybody else

isnt that TAS continuity

Well-educated and intelligent people aren't nearly as immune to getting sucked into cults and the like as people seem to think. And it's much the same dynamic here.

>who rose out of poverty and strife
That is 100% wrong. She has loving parents and her family is high middle class. Not Canon media try to ruined harley character by giving her a tragic backstory. Joker is extremely intelligent and manipulate harley. The acid drip also made her crazy.

She's a TAS original.

Therapists are by-and-large hacks, it's a field full of women and literal faggots, the client base is also mostly just women who wanna bitch for an hour about inane shit instead of actually working through their issues if they even have any issues to begin with.

The divorce stats for therapist are abnormally high too.

I find it hard to believe women are simply refusing to take responsibility for their bad decisions, but here we are.

I think smart and accomplished women, especially those that didn't have much of a love live, would be the most likely to fall for a charismatic psychopath, especially one that knows how manipulate people.

Living up to the expectations of others is hard, it's much easier to be the fuck pet of a psychopath and have fun stealing things and killing people instead.

Yes Harleys original continuity.

>The acid drip also made her crazy
When has this ever been said? Like, in which comic does it say her "kray-zeeness" was caused by that?

...dude. Have you MET a woman before? They fall in love with felons and psychos all the time. They can't resist the perceived power of an evil man. My brother became penpals with a university lecturer from prison (armed robbery, him and his-then gf were junkies) and now he bums around her place while she makes all the money. Female guards, cops, all that shit chose their jobs because it gives them access to alphas. Kinda like how some guys pick jobs that will give them daily access to attractive girls.

Something like 33% of male psychopathic patients have had relationships with the nurses and therapists.

Arcane did a better job at giving "a Harley Quinn type" a believable, relatable and plausible backstory than ANYTHING DC and Warner Brothers ever did with the actual Harley Quinn.

Women, not even once

It's like those white ISIS bitches

We saw it happen once.

You can't get so wise you're completely immune to stupidity. Common sense is a continuous effort, it's not something you can ignore when you feel like you've "made it" and expect to stay around forever.

Looks like cherry-gig art

The Harleen book establishes she has a history of making poor decisions with men. She didn’t fuck her way into a degree, she had an affair with a professor and the rumors spread like wildfire questioning her work. That’s Harley’s character flaw: she wants to love, be loved, even if it means fabricating it in her head. In her irrational mind she thought she could reach something in Joker, that he could change if she worked hard enough. Only the reality was that Joker played her like a fiddle, and gave her an “escape” when her whole life fell apart.

>She has loving parents and her family is high middle class.
Her father is a criminal.

That's true
