Why is she so successful?
Why is she so successful?
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Good one OP. Good one goddamn I haven't laughed that hard in days.
What year is this
First volume is really good. despite marvel not knowing what to do with her since then.
>cute character design
>fun local friendly neighbourhood tier crimes to deal with
>fish out of water (muslim in america) character
it's good
I wonder how they're going to do the big hands in live action
They're not. She has green lantern powers in the live action
Imagine being a muslim in the US.
Imagine being a FEMALE muslim in the US.
Stupidity.
So they will end up changing the powers in the comic too, cuckening
Pretty sure her new run will end up changing her powers
What?
Isn't her creator a big wig at Marvel comic now?
That would explain why she was shoved everywhere.
I know it's political. but the first book is really good
>Isn't her creator
Thought Bendis created her
She is pretty damn fuckable despite Marvel's best intentions.
Because the bar for success is constantly being lowered. Selling 5000 copies of any book is now considered a miracle.
oh lawd oh lawd oh lawd
How do they navigate her character without hordes of fundamentalist Muslims literally calling for their heads?
The mainstream media simply won't report it
Bendis didn't create every teen minority legacy character, he just created most of them
Was her stuff actually successful or was it just pushed heavily enough that it eventually broke over that initial hump to get characters recognized on sight and can basically cost on appearances or team book?
By painting her as 100% American and reducing her faith to a minor footnote she only pays lip service to at best.
So like how most religious people in America then?
Yep, pretty much.
Her hands just look bigger rather than closer. Also because of the pose she looks like a giant standing next to the building rather hovering.
Her first book is alright because she is a street level hero with a nice set of friends and family to build her personality with.
Ever since then they have pushed her to be grander and grander to the point where she is the leader of an international superhero team that has fought space wars and crossed paths with Avengers-level villains.
So overall the character has been used badly and is over-exposed.
Her tv actress is also ugly.
