Cosmo! Wanda! I've got an idea - so, Trixie's the prettiest, most popular girl in school, right...

>Cosmo! Wanda! I've got an idea - so, Trixie's the prettiest, most popular girl in school, right? And Tootie has a blatantly obvious crush on me, right? Well, what if I wished for Tootie to be more pretty and popular than Trixie? She'd still like me and wouldn't try to hide it to anyone, and because she'd be the most popular kid in school, nobody would raise a stink about it, so that would make me one of the popular kids, too! It's the perfect plan!

Attached: 1408755230656.jpg (1024x705, 98.23K)

>also, i want a gun

That's a stupid wish.

Yeah the "popular" kids is probably one of Butch weaker ideas. It basically translates to rich. He does it better in Danny Phantom where the popular girls are more than one note.

are there any rules against this?

It's weird cuz one of the FIRST FoP episodes implies that Trixie Tang really likes comics and stuff but that trait basically vanishes after that episode.

Timmy Turner he be wishin for a burner

>And so...

Attached: in_a_parallel_universe_by_javidluffy-d3euttw.jpg (600x661, 55.9K)

Does butch had some personal problem with popular and rich kids??
every cartoon he made treat the rich popular kid as literal satan

Sure thing, Timmy!

Let's just hope she still likes you when she's popular.

Attached: 16.jpg (1000x1000, 93.05K)

Magic doesn't affect true love, right? So yeah, she most likely will.

probably no

For the last time, Tommy, I'm waytoo popular to be seen in public with you.

Attached: KungTimmy179.jpg (720x544, 75.1K)

>Just taller
that's not enough

And this is precisely how it all backfires.

>cosmo i wish i had another gun

>I wish for Vicky to have taste buds in her ass

>wishes to be as popular as Tootie and Trixie
>Cosmo turns him into a popular girl

>i wish for francis to suffer from a major stroke and lose all motor function, rendering him bedridden for the rest of his life.

KEK

>thinking that's Tootie on the left

Attached: 1312664943461.jpg (720x544, 64.81K)

Oh no

>nobody would raise a stink about it
Vicky would.

honestly it's kind of weird that they both never did an episode plot involving something like that(or other ways of attempting to thread the needle between Tootie and Trixie), or for that matter never really had Tootie and Trixie interact in any meaningful manner(though actually come to think of it, Trixie barely ever interacted with anyone in the cast who wasn't Timmy or another Popular Kid)

and this is why I'm mostly fine with it not actually happening as it would have been a dull predictable cliché due to the fact that the era FOP originated in meant the show was a slave to "The Status Quo Is God" to a degree that was heavy even by animated sitcom standards

Attached: Trixootie_Stock_Image.png (800x1081, 15.04K)

He wished her into Daniella Monet at some point to fix her looks, but was careful to wish she remained at the same level of popularity to avoid . That's the only logical explanation.

FOP was weird because of how casually it would drop characters. Even fucking Vicky was gone by the last season.

I once in another thread referred to it as FoP digesting it’s own character. Slowly flanderizing them into cardboard cutouts until they completely disappear. I guess this also means that every time a new character was introduced it was like some terrible beast shoveling more food into it’s stomach

It's more like a crush than true love, she's a kid too. Plus having infinitely more options than Timmy would change her outlook. She literally wouldn't be the same person who crushed on Timmy.

>Chester, AJ, don't come to school tomorrow

On a side note, it sucked we see less of Tommy's friends as the show goes on.

From outside perspective Timmy got more and more isolated in his room and less social.

Couldnt timmy wish for a huge dick and let trixie find out so she'd want him then OR just simply wish for a shallow hal situation where he sees tootie as hot as trixie either way he should get what he wants working around the rules

Butch's writing is just tropes mired in tropes. No one acts like a human being, they just play out the cliches of the genre without understanding where they came from.

Timmy didn't want to be popular though, he wanted Trixie specifically.
His quest to be popular was only to get her attention.

It's a standard trope for ages, that popular kids and rich kids are evil in media because of the cultural swing whee most media are made by people who were nerds and outcasts in high school and them never getting over it and using their bully pulpit in media to villify the jock, the prom queen, and the rich kids who bullied them in high school.

The poor kids were the bullies, the rich kids were just snobs.
The meanest of all kids were the nerds

>Vicky was gone
Lol what. Vicky was the most important character besides Timmy and the fairies. How the heck did they do that?

That itself could had been a good episode.

Timmy gets with Trixie but he isn't allowed to see his friends. The popular food is actually terrible.

Maybe again to tie into the popular are rich, Timmy has to pay a popular tax. A butler keeps asking for $5 popular tax. Then as the episode is wrapping up and Timmy trying to become unpopular
>Wanda, Cosmo hurry. I'm running out of $5's!

It's less that and more cultural shift in terms of media being more truthful.

In the past, popular kids, rich kids, and jocks were made as 100% good because people making media felt they had a duty to make media that pushes kids to be good and for a lot of people, the captain of the football team and prom queen or the rich kid who goes on to run his dad's business were seen as paragons of virtue that everyone should aspire to. Same with the idea that beauty equals goodness and ugliness equals evil.

Of course, this ignores the fact that reality is not always cut and dry and that bad people can (on the surface) look like good people. The Prom Queen can be an evil slut who uses gossip to ruin the lives of other teenage girls. The jock can be a cruel and sadistic bully who didn't learn a thing in school except how to use his sports skill to get people to kiss his ass. The rich kid is a spoiled brat who had everything handed to him and who will use his money and influence to get away with all sorts of evil stuff.

by the time the 1960s came along, the outcast hippie became the new trend in america and the prom queen and captain of the football team became poster boys for the conservative status quo. So you had pop culture change to reflect that.

This. Butch doesn't sound like a guy with many life experiences or interest in understanding what makes things tick. All of his shows are just rehashes of things he saw as a kid but given a repaint.

>and a huge cock!

why not just have them bodyswap

Channel Chasers was supposed to be the grand finale for the show, as it brought the Vicky storyline to a climax with Timmy beating her once and for all. But the show got renewed, so they had to tack on a reset button ending onto Channel Chasers to keep the status quo intact.

Hence why Vicky's role on the show was minimized after Channel Chasers; they basically didn't know what more to do with her.

Have her go to college and replace a new babysitter.

Reserved for a season 10 plot

>Hence why Vicky's role on the show was minimized after Channel Chasers

It was minimized well before season 3, with her most heinous crime being an FCC violation.

>Timantha immediately becomes the most popular of the popular kids and every boy wants that tasty Timanta P.
>Things get so good that Cosmo and Wanda get reassigned and the Fairy Taxi arrives.
>Timantha is too smitten with all the dick she is getting and too dense to realize she is about to lose her fairies and become a puny boy again.
>Right before the fairies enter the Taxi, a ax-crazy Tootie, gone insane from attention deprivation, tracks down the girl who "RUINED HER LIFE!".
>Brought back to her senses, Timantha realizes she has to undo the wish for her safety but can't do so being constantly under the eyes of Tootie and/or very horny boys.

I'm not sure I understand how this is a backfire
does Timmy suddenly like Tootie despite ignoring and avoiding her constantly

sometimes cartoons are just fucking stupid, you know? Like obvious solutions to problems, but those solutions aren't the status quo so bullshit reason as to why it can't work

One of the minor antagonists from The Fairly Oddparents wished for the death of Archduke Ferdinand and plunged the world into World War 1. This was a trick by the Fairies to set forth every major historical event within the 20th century we know, including WW2, the Cold War, Korea, Vietnam, and Chinas turn to communism in order to make more kids around the world suffer so they could have more magic power and influence over the human race. All fairies should die. Fuck you fairy shill.

But wouldn’t Timantha reman a girl since faries can’t interfere with true love?
Also what are the rules on which wishes end? Cause WW1 still happened

>Hence why Vicky's role on the show was minimized after Channel Chasers; they basically didn't know what more to do with her.

That's true of pretty much everything about the show after Channel Chasers really.

Alright, since I forgot that, I'll continue with that conceit:
>Timantha realizes she can't unwish the wish because true love.
>Realizes the only way to get out of the wish is to turn herself ugly.
>Montage of Timantha physically destroying herself in speed-run while avoiding Tootie.
>Timantha reveals her new new looks to the world on live TV, repulsing every boy who once loved her.
>Timantha immediately rushes to a private place and wishes all back to normal before any boy gets the hots for Tootsie again.

This is what Trixie trannies do... they take her character flaws (Yandereness) and project it onto Tootie for some strange reason.

bump

It was really just a gag to show that Timmy's friend circle were the absolute bottom feeders of the school. Which really made no sense, Timmy is quite charismatic, has done nice things for the student body constantly, beat up the school bully, briefly dated the most popular girl, and his constant conflicts with the school faculty (Crocker) probably give him that "Bad boy" factor. But this was an early episode so whatever.

Yeah I never liked these to begin with

season 3 featured Snow Bound, one of the most well received Vicky episodes in the series

It was, like, the only Vicky episode of season 3.

You're off your meds again, Crocker.

Or....here me out... Timmy should wish he doesn't have feelings for Trixie because she doesn't feel the same about him.

Already did that once.

engined blocked, microphony, miss dimmsdale, and i think there was a mark chang episode as well (not sure if it involved vicky tho)

its not so much as "one character was getting used all the time" (ala vicky early on, or crocker later) but there was a huge cast of rotating characters and you can tell they were hitting on all cylinders just by looking at the season 3 episode guide. you have episodes for timmy, the fairies, fairy world, chip skylark, chester, and aj, (including a pov episode for these two) vicky, tootie, trixie, and the chinverse. this is how the show should have been ALL the fucking time instead of a million crocker or timmy's dad episodes.

Attached: 1640758267404.png (2000x2500, 2.36M)

Or god forbid he just stops being a simp for Trixie and goes for Tootie instead, who in all honesty looks just as cute as the "hottest girl in school" ... not sure if thats a knock on the simplicity of hartman style or what

This is how the later seasons played out:
>Anti-fairies, Crocker, and Jorgan were generally the main recurring antagonists
>they got tired of hitting the reset button with Crocker and decided he just knew about magic now. So he'd interact with the fairy characters. He also turned into some kind of weird almost anti-hero.
>Jorgan would randomly flip-flop between being friendly and antagonistic depending on the episode (which wasn't really THAT different than his role before, but sometimes he was just openly hostile toward cosmo and wanda for no reason)
>the final season's antagonist was just Chloe most of the time, so even fucking anti-poof was turned good
>Sparky, Poof, Chester, AJ, Francis, Vicky, and a bunch of other random characters appeared less and less until they were just literally gone from the show
The writers did occasionally bring back older characters for one final episode in the last season. Vicky got a big two-part episode where she was treated like a special guest character (and it was her ONLY appearance in that season).

I know this because the last seasons are the only ones Pluto.tv ever airs, so I've caught a lot of them over the last year.

IIRC, Butch had some unpleasant experiences in school.

>Timmy suddenly finds his tongue embeded in Vicky's ass
>Vicky's alarmingly okay with this

Cosmo! Wanda! I wish to be turned into a girl so I can be with Trixie this summer in camp Sherwood!

>No school? ALRIGHT! *rips off clothes and jumps in mud pit*

are you people genuinely autistic? it's just jokes
>Any Forums
oh that explains it

Hey, Butch. Where's OAXIS?

>From outside perspective Timmy got more and more isolated in his room and less social.
Wow he's just like me

The writers knew their audience.

seems like a lot of the later episodes took place in or around timmy's house, or in non-descript locations or shitty parodies of irl places, very few even went to the school outside of a brief scene and it was still devoid of any familiar faces.

this shows been gone for a few years now and ive always kind of wondered what went into the horrible decision making toward the end that ultimately led to its cancellation, but the most we've gotten are vague and blame deflecting videos by Butch Hartman that essentially downplay any criticism. you can only blame the executives so much, sure, they mightve forced them to add sparky or chloe at gunpoint... but the writers and butch still shit the bed, they still removed the vast majority of the cast (don't say it was budget for VAs either, they brought in grey delisle to voice a pointless carebear ripoff for an entire s10 episode TWICE!!), they still ignored complaints and even though they added new characters the focus was still on crocker (oh and guess what, they added a junior clone of him to further steal spotlight from other kids, lmao)

>posting the 7chan version
Really, user?

Go on...

There's multiple versions?

Timmy smells like fish and I fucking love this show

Prettier yes
More popular? Hell no

Best example would be that cuck that dated Cameron Diaz before Justin Timberlake and got pushed out every social gathering cause nobody knew who he is.

but fuck butch hartman tho, he's like a real life villain.

I think two people or groups continued it at some point. The one I read turns some Asian girl from a show I don't know into the lead.

Someone should storytime this somewhere.

No. If you want to read it, go and read it.

The guy who originally made it (Mr. D) did chapter 1 and started chapter 2, then dropped it for years or so. In the meantime, anons who liked the story/setting made their own version. Mr. D eventually continued his version, which is ongoing. Mr. D's version is notable for being an "adult" production with good writing, while 7chan's is just porn. Patrician porn, if you know what I mean.

This is from Mr. D's version. That's Juniper Lee, and part of her deal is that she's magically trapped in a particular geographic area.

>also, I wish I was Drake Bell

Mr. D's the best version

It was weird how I came for the porn but stayed for the story. I haven't read it in ages though. Where can Mr. D's version be found?

When you're a kid, you root for timmy and laugh with him.

As an adult, nothing would be more satisfying than to see his bucktooth grin get kicked in.

just search the title and i'm 90% confident that the top results have all of it hosted

What about seeing him mature through his experiences and become a better person?

that's old FOP. We're living in the status quo future

>sorry sport but Da Rules has a vanity clause where we can't wish for people to be beautiful and popular because it put us out of a job.
>Yeah imagine if we made you taller and handsome without those buck teeth! Theres no way you would still be miserable then so why would you need us after that wish?

>What about seeing him mature through his experiences and become a better person?
user, you're watching the wrong show if you're expecting characters to develop into better people.

holy shit Im gonna take up storyboarding so I can make a fake episode
Now all I need are good female voice actors because I can do the males just fine
You think Tara would be down or should i use a cameo

Vicky being downplayed to an extent was inevitable as the cast and setting dramatically expanded following the Oh Yeah! shorts where she was unequivocally the main antagonist and almost every short was set at least a good chunk in Timmy's home.

Even then, it wasn't until after Channel Chasers which, by the way, wasn't ever intended to be a grand finale (it just sorta stumbled into tying things up well) that the show began taking her out of the picture. It didn't matter much in the fifth season as it was the season with the most varied per-episode main cast but, as the latter seasons committed suicide by shrinking the cast (explained in more detail by ) in a show very reliant on its expansive cast and setting to best function, it became a lot more noticeable.

Attached: The_Fairly_OddParents_on_Oh_Yeah!_-_Image_-3.jpg (2400x3600, 3.42M)

I feel like it's less common than you might think it is though. Maybe not UNcommon but it doesn't really feel like it's the ever pervasive occurrence it sounds like, especially outside his shows.

what happened to vicky (antagonist gradually cools down and even becomes something of an anti-hero at times but otherwise stays true to their personality) is what happened to crocker, which no one wanted or cared for

or rather, i mean, what people seem to wanted from vicky was taking her character in that direction

First off, FOP never really did character development, even if doing even a minor amount of it would've gone a long way in giving the show legs.

Second, while Vicky cooling down could've worked with her earlier characterization as an asshole, exploitative babysitter, she gradually transitioned into a wannabe evil dictator actively hostile to Timmy (solidified by Channel Chasers) and you can't really go down the route you stated with a character of that nature

Whenever I get a glimpse of this fandom who are actually invested in the characters and shipping and things like that out of a shitty comedy about children I think I die a little more.

>which no one wanted or cared for

Bullshit.

Have you seen the new and improve Timmantha?

Please someone better made fan episode based on this plot
