NTA, but my experience with this is that people with adjacent subcultures who might have an interest or an appreciation for a specific subculture they're not a part of end up together fairly often. Goth and nerd subcultures aren't that far apart, depending on the specific brand of nerd and the specific brand of goth. And then if you get a goth girl who's also got a few nerdy hobbies, or a nerd who happens to like a few goth things even if he's not a goth himself, that can be enough.

I know a couple that fits this archetype. The guy's a massive nerd, but likes goth music and some mysticism. The girl's a goth but also a massive history and pop-culture nerd. It works.

Those negative personality traits you mention are not exclusive to goth girls and can manifest in not just any woman but anyone at all. Portrayals in media are almost never accurate anyway since they are often built on hyperbole and embellishing the truth to make for a more fantastical caricature, and again this is not exclusive to goth girls, nerds and jocks get the exact same treatment. While those negative traits aren't exclusive to goth girls, they manifest within them more than other other type of woman.
