both of their fathers are white(and brothers), Britt's mother is British of mixed African & Indian descent(Britt will never willingly reveal this to anyone not related to her, but her own British accent isn't a natural one), while Tiff's mother is from Los Angeles of mixed Filipino/Chinese/Mexican heritage(unlike Britt, Tiff's accent is definitely real, she spent a good chunk of her childhood in LA till her parents sent her to live with her rich aunt & uncle to give her better opportunities)
