Opinions on this album tend to vary quite a lot, in my experience. I'm interested as to what you guys have to say about it. How do you feel about Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me by The Cure? I like how it branches out a fair bit from their mostly gothic style :)

pathetic and probably futile self bump

love it because im a shameless slut for the cure
fits nicely with all of the other proto dreampop shit that was coming out at the time too

how would you say it ranks against the rest of their discog?

their pseud filter

Post punk and goth Cure is better than pop Cure

great album

catch, why cant i be you and just like heaven are genius pop songs

I like it. It gets way too much shit.

that really depends on if you like the more gothy stuff vs pop
personally i love their pop stuff, i think kiss me is an essential album if you’re gonna listen to the cure
pornography, seventeen seconds, three imaginary boys & kiss me is top tier cure listening

The opening track gets me pumped

Just like heaven is one of my favorite cure songs but most of the LP feels like filler

I prefer dreary goth The Cure more, but I can't deny these songs are catchy

Its their "everything but the kitchen sink" album. As a result is some really high highs and low lows.

i think its one of their best. dark adn happy at the same time

It’s fantastic. Except for Fight, which I used to hate. It’s an album that really gives a good overview of the band through 70% of their phases/sounds

Love every Cure album (and I mean all),

but I personally find Pornography, KMKMKM, and Wish each quite highly overrated. Pornography especially – for being only that many tracks on the standard release, I only particularly care for half of them (Siamese Twins and the last 3 tracks).

On Wish, I sometimes skip "High" and maybe "Cut", and especially the back-to-back trudge of "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea" and "Wendy Time".
Wish essentially IS WMS in quality-per-amount-of-tracks, but WMS offers more sonic variety. And for me it's got arguably higher highs, and equal-if-not-even-higher lows. (My only skips on WMS being R&R&R, "Trap", and maaybe "This is a Lie" if I'm pressed)

For a band with so many incredible b-sides/demos/unreleased tunes, it's unfortunate that not every one on KM was stellar. There's like a 1/3rd or 1/4th of the album that could be swapped out for markedly better material.

As another unabahsed Cure lover like , it's tough to pick a bottom 3. Surely either the s/t of 4:13 Dream perhaps could get a spot, but it feels unfair to put both, especially as people already shit on the 2000s albums way too much.

On KM, I could skip potentially "All I Want", probably "Fight", and espeeecially "Why Can't I Be You?". Maybe "Torture", "How Beautiful You Are", and "Hey You!" as well, if I'm looking to save some time.

really fun album probably find myself coming back to it more than most cure records. think i like Wish a little bit more though, The Cure definitely reached their peak in early 90s if those live albums and "Burn" single for The Crow are anything to go by. Do have abit of a soft spot for Bloodflowers though seeing as its the first album i gave a good listen outside of the band's singles on radio.

way better than Disintegration

I think it's the Cure album to listen to if you want to get the best idea of what they're about as a whole, and depending on one's top 3 or 4 songs are you can probably direct them to the parts of the discography you'd like the most. That said, it spreads itself so wide that it's the kind of listen where almost no one will love every song, but every song will be loved by someone.

Pretty fun pop album

no shame as long as you are posting the CVRE. it's one of my least favorite albums by them but a hefty handful of songs are some of their best so i cant talk too much shit. The Cure rock and S/T is underrated
