These are honestly the best pair of headphones I've listened to
Personal taste and all, but I've had headphones 10x the cost of these

I have the AKG k271 MKII
I had the AKG 240k studio before (still have them) but decided to upgrade to these.
the k271 have a more trebbly response but honestly their not worth the extra money. The k240's are also more confortable.
Still akg is my go to brand. Best bang for your buck imo

What are some good headphones i can get for about $9?

I remember these as surprisingly decent.
They design these like 30 minutes from where i live.
I might apply for a job there at some point.

Sony earbuds for about 10-15$. They do the job.

Hey, thanks user!

I've never used an amp, does it really make a big difference?

Fiio K5 Pro amp with Sennheiser 58x headphones. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Depending on which headphones you have (high impedance headphones need an amp) there's a big difference.
Symptoms range from low volume to completely fucked frequency response.

Philips Fidelio X2HR
Sony XM3
