Some decent stuff I suppose but I really really dislike this 80s synth revival movement, everything sounds very obnoxious and noisy when compared to the 80s itself
Yeah it's weird really. What's stopping the people who actually made the 80s music from creating new stuff today? A lack of cocaine? Jan Hammer for example is still alive and could make a buck by hopping on the newretrowave wave.
no idea if this counts but i really enjoy it alot

Not at all. It just highlights the fact that there is barely any new flashwave music that actually sounds 80s. That was a new Sandra song for me so thanks. Here is another good one.

Nice
Also Nice
Well since we're allowing newer covers of 80s sings by 80s bands.

Gotta be her best
It sounds so noisy because it’s very compressed. In the 80s there was a lot less compression on music so it was more dynamic and sounded less monotonous. All these Retrowave producers missed that.
I think synthpop was better when it wasn't trying to be so literally 80s
I think 90s and 2000s is underappreciated

Maybe not quite what OP's asking for, but I love how TBM, without fully becoming a revival band, taps into that 80s vibe so effortlessly, to the point that it's been incorporated into their sound for some time now

Great band! There needs to be more band that fuse synths with rock
We occasionally get some good stuff from then still but I wish there was more.

Gunship comes to mind. Different from TBM in that they're definitely more straightforward in pursuing the nostalgia effect, full 80s revival most of the time, kinda like Carpenter Brut
